3. Maruti Suzuki Baleno RS 1.0
When to expect: October 2016

Maruti Suzuki will
soon make the Baleno a lot feistier by introducing the hatchback with a
turbocharged petrol engine. Unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, the 1-litre
three-cylinder turbocharged engine christened ‘BoosterJet’ will make its India
debut at the 2016 Auto Expo
4. Volkswagen Polo GTi

If a Volkswagen gets
the GTi badge, it has to be a hatchback and it has to be fast. The GTi badge
has been associated with hot hatches since decades and finally, it will come to
India, officially. The first GTi to be brought here is the Polo GTi, a souped

5. Hyundai New Elantra

When Renault launched

from the parent car manufacturer Suzuki, will make its India debut at the Auto
Expo. The car was first showcased as the Suzuki iM-4 concept at the 2015 Geneva

10. Volkswagen Passat GTE
When to expect: January 2017
Estimated Price: 20 - 25L
Volkswagen has
unveiled the next generation Passat at the Auto Expo 2016 and is expected to
replace the existing car soon. Built on the versatile MQB platform, the new
Passat was showcased with a plug-in hybrid powertrain.
